What are Full-Size, Official Sample Vials, and Decant Samples?
Full-Size: Refers to the original full bottle of perfume.
Official Sample VialsSmall sample vials produced by the brand, used for trying out perfumes.
Decant Samples: Small-capacity trial bottles offered by SplitScents, typically 2ml in size. These are packaged in glass bottles and labeled with the perfume name.
Why does perfume smell strongly of alcohol when first sprayed?
Alcohol is the carrier of perfume and helps the fragrance disperse. Most perfumes contain around 78% alcohol. After spraying, wait 1 minute for the alcohol to fully evaporate before smelling the scent. Otherwise, the initial alcohol odor might overpower the actual fragrance.
Why is the staying power of perfume short?
The longevity of a perfume depends on its composition and fragrance type:
Fragrance Type: Fresh fragrances (like citrus notes) tend to have shorter staying power, while richer fragrances (like woody notes) last longer.
Environmental Factors: Hot weather or dry skin can accelerate perfume evaporation. Personal Body Chemistry: Individual body scent and skin chemistry can also affect how long a perfume lasts.
Why do perfumes of the same type vary in color?
Perfumes contain natural ingredients, so slight color variations may occur between different batches or production times. This is normal and does not affect the usage. For example: Perfumes with natural vanilla or herbal extracts may gradually change color over time.
