Parfums de Marly (Fragrance Decant Sample Selection)

In the Perfumed Court of King Louis XV, extravagance reigned supreme, sophistication was everything, and any interest worth pursuing was worth an obsession. In this spirit, Louis' love of horses- riding, admiring, and breeding them- was elevated to esteemed status, and the King gave a vast estate, the Château de Marly, over to this purpose. As the Château became synonymous with the world's most beautiful and well-bred horses, lavish statuary and artwork was commissioned to fit the theme, including Guillaume Coustou's The Marly Horses, a masterpiece that is now permanently displayed along the Champs d'Elysees in Paris. 
It is in this spirit that Parfums de Marly seeks to rekindle the splendour of the 18th century, when the finest perfumes were created for King Louis XV as a tribute to the prestigious race horses he so fervently admired.
