In a side chapel, an oblique light highlights the vases full of gladiolus. Its scent brings with it an intimate memory, linked to precise seasons of life, to hands that arrange flowers with care and to a silence inhabited by expectation.
The organ music in this space is reminiscent of the moments of preparation of the church on Saturday afternoons, when I accompanied my mother to clean the church. The olfactory accord translates this moment through a slender and luminous floral note supported by a green and slightly earthy base that restores the humidity of the chapel and the fresh breath of the stone.
In that chapel, the gladiolus becomes an emblem of respect and elevation. Light, flower and music are in tune in a single movement that leads the space towards a higher dimension, in which personal memory finds its fulfillment.
